Rain Bird XFD Dripline includes an advanced emitter design which enables extra-long lateral run lengths.  It is ideal for large zones where dripline laterals may exceed 400 feet or more.  Rain Bird’s patented round emitter design provides for increased reliability and reduces in-line pressure loss, therefore allowing for longer lateral runs than the competition.  This dual-layered tubing (brown over black) provides unmatched resistance to chemicals, UV damage, and algae growth.

The XFD dripline is the most flexible, pressure-compensating inline emitter tubing available to irrigate ground cover, dense plantings, hedge rows and more.  Narrow and tight planting areas, as well as zones with tight curves or many switchbacks are no problem with XFD, making it ideal for irrigating areas where traditional drip tubing is difficult to install.   The bend radius for XFD dripline is 3” no matter which way you bend the tube.  Other driplines will bend 4” if bending with the natural curve of the coil and only 7” if bending against the natural curve of the coil.
